BUNGKUAN 2

Bungkuan 2 is a hotel project in the middle of rice fields, this large site was not fully built due to client’s requests to keep the building to a minimum. Therefore, the design is made compact, the design decision to place the building in the back area is so that the hotel building is not too visible from the front other than that there is a good view in the back area. The simple form of the building was inspired by local farmers' huts which are very simple and functional. The use of unfinished materials is an option in this design, the main structure uses steel which is purposely exposed, for the finishing part of the walls use soil material obtained on the site, then the usage of materials wood with natural finish.
